Jurnal Medicare, ISSN 2828-352X (media online) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by CV. Rena Cipta Mandiri. The journal focuses on Clinical and Patient Care, Public and Community Health, and Complementary and Integrative Medicine.
Jurnal Medicare publishes high-quality scientific manuscripts that demonstrate originality, clear research gaps, appropriate methodology, ethical integrity, scientific contribution, and relevance to evidence-based healthcare.
The journal is published four times a year: January, April, July, and October.
Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts meet the following requirements:
Authors should complete the Submission Preparation Checklist before submitting the manuscript.
Jurnal Medicare accepts the following manuscript types:
Original research presenting new findings based on quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods, experimental, observational, clinical, or community-based research.
A structured review that uses a systematic search strategy, explicit inclusion and exclusion criteria, study selection, data extraction, and appropriate quality or risk-of-bias assessment.
Authors should follow relevant reporting standards such as PRISMA when applicable.
A critical synthesis of relevant scientific literature that provides analysis, comparison, interpretation, and identification of research gaps rather than merely summarizing previous studies.
Manuscripts must be directly relevant to at least one of the following:
Clinical and Patient Care
Including clinical practice, patient care, nursing, midwifery, maternal and child health, disease prevention and management, patient safety, chronic disease, geriatric care, and evidence-based clinical interventions.
Public and Community Health
Including public health, community health, health promotion, disease prevention, health education, epidemiology, community interventions, health services, and health policy.
Complementary and Integrative Medicine
Including acupuncture, acupressure, herbal medicine, traditional medicine, complementary therapies, integrative healthcare, therapeutic interventions, and evidence-based complementary and traditional medicine.
Manuscripts that fall substantially outside the journal's scope may be rejected during initial editorial screening.
Authors must use the official Jurnal Medicare manuscript template.
The manuscript should be written clearly using academic language and organized logically according to the type of article.
For an original research article, the recommended structure is:
Title → Authors and Affiliations → Abstract → Keywords → Introduction → Methods → Results → Discussion → Conclusion → Limitations → Acknowledgments → Funding → Conflict of Interest → Author Contributions → Ethical Approval → References
The structure may be adjusted when scientifically justified according to the article type.
The title should be:
Authors should avoid titles that are excessively long or contain unsupported conclusions.
The manuscript should include:
The corresponding author is responsible for communication with the editorial office and for ensuring that all authors approve the submitted and final manuscript.
The abstract should provide a concise summary of the manuscript.
For original research, the preferred structure is:
Background – Objective – Methods – Results – Conclusion
The abstract should clearly state:
The abstract should not contain unnecessary references, tables, figures, or unexplained abbreviations.
Authors should provide 3–5 keywords.
Keywords should accurately represent the main concepts of the manuscript. Authors are encouraged to use standardized scientific terminology, including Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) where appropriate.

The Introduction should establish a clear scientific rationale for the study.
It should generally include:
The final part of the Introduction should clearly state the purpose of the study.
The Methods section must provide sufficient information to allow readers to understand how the research was conducted.
Where applicable, authors should describe:
Statistical analysis must be appropriate to the research design and characteristics of the data. Authors should report the statistical software used and relevant significance levels where applicable.
Research involving human participants, animals, identifiable personal information, or other research requiring ethical review must obtain appropriate ethical clearance/ethical approval.
The manuscript should include relevant information such as:

Authors are responsible for ensuring that research participants' rights, privacy, confidentiality, and informed consent requirements are appropriately protected.
Where ethical approval is not required, authors should provide an appropriate explanation when necessary.
Authors must ensure the integrity and accuracy of the research data. Fabrication, falsification, manipulation of results, plagiarism, duplicate publication, and other forms of research misconduct are unacceptable.
Jurnal Medicare may conduct plagiarism/similarity screening before or during the editorial process.
The Results section should present findings clearly and objectively.
Results should:
Tables and figures should complement, rather than duplicate, the main text.
The Discussion should provide a critical interpretation of the findings.
Authors should:
The Discussion should not merely repeat the Results.
The Conclusion should directly answer the research objective and be supported by the findings.
New data or unsupported claims should not be introduced in the Conclusion.
Authors should clearly describe important limitations that may affect the interpretation, validity, or generalizability of the findings.
Tables must:
Tables should preferably be submitted as editable text rather than images.
Figures may include graphs, diagrams, flowcharts, photographs, or other visual materials.
Figures must:
Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted material.
References must be relevant, credible, accurate, and sufficiently current.
Authors should prioritize:
Authors should avoid excessive use of non-scholarly sources.
All citations in the manuscript must appear in the reference list, and all references in the reference list must be cited in the manuscript.
Authors should include DOI information when available.
Reference-management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote is recommended.
Authors must comply with the Publication Ethics policy of Jurnal Medicare, including requirements concerning:
AI tools may be used for appropriate purposes such as language improvement, grammar checking, translation, or editorial assistance.

Jurnal Medicare applies a double-blind peer-review process.
Manuscripts that pass initial editorial screening are generally reviewed by 2–3 qualified reviewers.

The review process generally takes up to 8 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and manuscript complexity.

Accept – Minor Revision – Major Revision – Reject

Article Processing Charge (APC): IDR 400,000 per accepted article.
