Knee pain due to joint degeneration in elderly can cause discomfort, stiffness, and decreased stability, increasing the risk of falls. One intervention that can be applied is a knee sleeve to reduce pain and improve joint stability. This study aimed to determine the effect of knee sleeve use on reducing fall risk in elderly with knee pain. The research was conducted from January to February 2026 at Posyandu Lansia Ngudi Saras 6 and 9, Blulukan, Colomadu, Karanganyar, using a quasi experimental one group pre test post test design. The sample consisted of 22 elderly selected through purposive sampling. Pain levels were measured using the Numeric Rating Scale, while fall risk was assessed using the Berg Balance Test. Data analysis included normality testing and the Wilcoxon test. The results showed a significant effect of knee sleeve use on reducing fall risk, with a p-value of 0.001 (p < 0.05) and an effectiveness of 29.2%. The reduction in fall risk was indicated by the absence of subjects with moderate pain after one month of use. In conclusion, knee sleeve use effectively reduces fall risk in elderly with knee pain, where higher pain levels are associated with increased fall risk.
